Billing & Plans

staticq offers three plans: Free, Pro, and Business. You can upgrade at any time from the dashboard.

How to upgrade your plan

  1. Log in to your staticq dashboard.
  2. Click Billing in the sidebar navigation.
  3. Choose Monthly or Annual billing (annual saves ~20%).
  4. Select your preferred currency from the dropdown (auto-detected from your browser locale).
  5. Click Upgrade to Pro or Upgrade to Business.
  6. You’ll be redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout page to enter your payment details.
  7. After payment, you’ll be returned to the dashboard. Your new plan activates within seconds.

Only the organization owner can initiate an upgrade. If you don’t see the upgrade buttons, ask your org owner to upgrade.

Pricing

Prices are shown in your local currency. The table below shows USD pricing — visit the billing page or pricing page for localized prices.

PlanMonthlyAnnual (per month)
Free$0$0
Pro$9/mo$7/mo
Business$29/mo$24/mo

Annual plans are billed once per year at the discounted rate.

Supported currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, CHF, AUD, CAD, HKD, SGD. Your currency is auto-detected from your browser settings but can be changed manually.

What happens after checkout?

  • Your plan is activated automatically via Stripe webhooks — typically within seconds.
  • The dashboard billing page shows a confirmation message while activation is in progress.
  • All plan limits (submissions, forms, retention) update immediately once the plan is active.

What happens to my data if I upgrade?

Nothing changes. All your existing forms and submissions are preserved. You simply get higher limits.

How to manage your subscription

From the Billing page, paid-plan owners see a Manage subscription button. Clicking it opens the Stripe billing portal where you can:

  • Upgrade or downgrade your plan
  • Switch billing intervals (monthly to annual, or vice versa)
  • Update your payment method
  • View past invoices
  • Cancel your subscription

Changes are processed by Stripe and reflected in your dashboard within seconds.

When does a downgrade take effect?

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to your current plan’s limits until then. Upgrades take effect immediately.

What happens when I cancel?

Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period. The dashboard shows a notice: “Your plan will revert to Free on {date}.” After that date, your account reverts to the Free plan.

You can resubscribe at any time from the billing portal.

What happens to my data when I downgrade?

Submissions older than your new plan’s retention window will be deleted on the next scheduled cleanup run. For example, downgrading from Business (unlimited retention) to Free (90-day retention) means submissions older than 90 days will be removed. Your forms are not deleted — you simply return to the lower plan’s limits.

What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe automatically retries failed payments over approximately three weeks. During this time your plan remains active. If all retry attempts fail, your subscription is cancelled and your account reverts to the Free plan. You can re-subscribe at any time from the Billing page.

Payment security

staticq never sees your credit card number. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, an industry-leading payment processor. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe’s secure checkout page.
